Jaipur Holidays
There are a lot of tourist attractions one can find in Jaipur Holidays which is most popularly known as the pink city. This capital city of Rajasthan will take your breath away with its enchanting and distinctive artistic culture, royal splendor and unique style of architecture. The beauty of the architectural works which this city offers is just incomparable. We have so many remarkable options in this city to visit therefore one can say that this city Jaipur on a whole is an attraction itself for tourists.
One of the prime attractions of Jaipur is the 'city palace', originally named as Chandra Mahal. This palace has been situated at the heart of Jaipur. This beautiful palace which was built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh during his reign proves its architectural excellence by giving us a blend of Mughal and traditional rajasthani architecture. This seven storey palace as it has been built at the centre of the city offers a perfect and very fine view of the whole of the city and its gardens. It also houses the museum which gifts us a rare collection of royal belongings like weapons, costumes and manuscripts.
'Palace of winds', popularly known as the Hawa Mahal is another most famous palace of Jaipur. It has been built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh,in 1799. As the name suggest it to be a palace it is not exactly a palace it is a 5 storied sandstone screen built with red and pink sandstone with screened windows all over. This beehive like architectural structure was used as a veil for the royal women folk of that era.
Built 1737, Nahargarh Fort, as the name Nahargarh refers to 'the abode of tigers' therefore this fort is also known as the tiger fort. It is the first of the three forts built by Maharaja Jai Sawai Singh of Jaipur who witness the scenic beauty of Man Sagar Lake. Most of the royal families used this fort as a picnic spot too. This fort reminds us the glory of a former age of Maharaja's of Rajasthan and their royal kingdom.
Jaigarh Fort was built between 15th to 18th centuries. The main reason to build this fort was to make stronger or boost up the defense of the city. Therefore one can easily distinguish it with other forts; unlike other beautifully architectural forts of Jaipur this one is quite simple and sober. Apart from these architectural wonders of fort and palaces during Holidays in Jaipur, some major attractions are hidden in its wonderful and enigmatic gardens, fairs and festivals which offer the visitors to take a peep into Jaipur's tradition and culture. There are a lot more which attracts tourists to this city which cannot be described in words so one has to visit this architectural paradise to make justice to its glory.
